Dude! Go North!

Dude!

What's better than a summer day in a Canadian National Park?  The list of possible answers has got to be short.

As I was finishing up this page, it looked like it just needed a little something but not much.  Can you spot what I did?

Yep!  I used some scraps from the mounting paper I used for the pix and put them in the gaps.  It added just enough to fill things out and break up the monotony.

Oh Canada, Dude!

Dude! Get a Move On!

Dude!

This was a place about stories of people going from place to place.  It was still and peaceful but had a constant sense of motion.

So I tried to make the page flow back and forth with the placement of the pix and clippings.  I don't know if you sense that or not, but that is what I was going for.

Dude!  Telling stories about places you were on the way to where you are is what scrapbooking is all about!

Dude! That's Awesome!

Dude!

I think this is the best page I've ever done.

It gives a sense of the time and place through photos, stickers, and background.  Whenever I see it I go right back there.

You may disagree, and that's OK.

But Dude!  It's for my memories, not anyone else's.  So if I think it's awesome that's all that counts.

Dude! That's Weird!

Dude!

Sometimes you should just do something weird in the scrapbook.  Why, you ask?  Because otherwise all you pages start to look alike.

This page is just a little weird.  It doesn't seem to fit with the location or the theme.  Yet, it kind of works and breaks up all those rustic looking pages.  I think it keeps things interesting and pushed me to try new ideas.

Weird is ok, dude!
