Dude! Do it Yourself!

Dude! This is America! You don't need professionals. This is the land that invented Home Depot. Here you need to be a man and do it yourself!

The same is true with your scrapbook, dude! You don't need to have someone come up with a girly background for each of your pages. Make a manly background yourself!

There's nothing wrong with using a printed or patterned page once in a while. But if the store doesn't have the background you want that's their loss, not yours. Create the background you need just the way you want it.

And if you don't know how, skip the Hobby Lobby for the Home Depot. In fact, the width of the flag's stripes on this page are the same as the 5 gallon paint stir stick from there.

Dude! You can do it. We can help.

Dude! Go Straight!

Dude! Remember in the Boy Scouts when you promised to not lead the life of a crooked man? Dude! It's time to live up to that pledge!

Some pages can have pix all over the page. That's fine. But some pages require you to post the pix straight.

Tall, skinny things, like trees, lighthouses, skyscrapers, and rockets, will look like they're falling over on your page unless you put the pictures on straight. If you're pages are about a trip to Pisa, fine. Otherwise, make sure that your page doesn't like it was made of an earthquake disaster site.

Dude! Keep physically strong, mentally awake, and your scrapbook pix straight!

Dude! Lend a Hand!

Dude! Sometimes the main color you think of didn't come through in your pix. Dude! Lend your camera a hand!

Like on this trip, we all know the color of the Statue of Liberty. But that color wasn't dominant in the pix as I thought it would be.

So, I helped the Lady out by using that color as a boarder on everything else. The page still had the feel of the color even without the pix doing their job. Of course, if the pix were always able to do the job on their own then we wouldn't need to scrapbook in the first place.

Dude! Lend a hand!

Dude! Let 'er Rip!

Dude! You don't always have to use the scissors!

When you go places that are rough and manly your scrapbook pages should look that way, too. Tearing the paper instead of cutting it will help that happen.

The places you go and the things you do aren't sterile and you don't have to stop to refill the flower-scented hand sanitizer you keep in your purse. Your pages shouldn't be sterile, either.

Dude! Be a man and scrapbook with your bare hands!
